The Earth is 71% water and 29% land. Billions of years ago, the seven continents of the world were a single giant region called Pangaea.
Over time, the tectonic plates break and gradually dissociate. Research shows that Europe and North America are still changing at 7cm every year. The total land area of the Earth is made up of seven continents of various sizes. Some are interconnected and some are isolated. In all of them, different countries have been formed.
Although there is only one global ocean, the vast waters that covered 71% of the Earth are divided into geographically distinct regions.

Since ancient times, this vast body of water has been known as the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Indian and the Arctic. However, due to various geographical and scientific reasons, most countries now accept the Southern Ocean (Antarctic) as the fifth ocean basin. The Pacific Ocean is the largest of the five.
